For ultrasound-media distributors, OEM buyers and converters
Synthetic Ultrasound Thermal Paper
Source synthetic thermal print media for ultrasound applications as finished rolls or parent rolls for converting. Select the material by the printer, image requirements and handling conditions, then verify it with the grade data and trial prints.
Finished rolls and jumbo-roll material are available for specification review and sample evaluation.

Features to specify for your application
Synthetic substrate
Confirm the substrate designation and grade documentation. Synthetic paper must not be assumed to be a particular PET or PP film.
Surface and thickness
Specify the desired finish, thickness and any GSM requirement. Confirm the actual available grade rather than assuming every finish is supplied.
Image characteristics
Evaluate grayscale steps, image density, uniformity, fine detail and background stability on the intended printer.
Thermal and feed behavior
Check print settings, thermal response, printable side, curl, roll feed and print-head behavior in a sample trial.
Finished-roll supply
Match width, length, core, outer diameter, winding and packing to the tested printer configuration.
Parent-roll supply
Specify converting width, core, maximum roll build, unwind direction, edge quality and trial quantity.
Choose material by the intended use
| Application | Material route | Retention / exposure | Selection check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finished ultrasound print rolls | Printer-matched synthetic thermal media | Image quality and retention defined for the selected grade | Compare surface, thickness, grayscale, roll geometry and trial-print results. |
| Ultrasound-media converting | Coated synthetic parent-roll material | End-printer requirements plus converting-line fit | Confirm coating structure, thermal side, winding and a printer-qualified slit sample. |
| Humid or frequently handled records | Grade with the required documented protective property | Exposure and storage conditions specified by the buyer | Test moisture, handling and image durability separately; do not infer them from the synthetic base. |
Image life, shelf life and storage
Confirm printed-image life and unused-media shelf life for the actual ultrasound grade. A retention rating on long-life receipt paper does not transfer to ultrasound media. Printer compatibility, moisture resistance and other performance statements apply only to the documented grade and tested configuration.

Questions before ordering
Is ordinary receipt paper equivalent to ultrasound media?
No. Match the thermal medium to the required grayscale performance, thickness, surface and printer behavior. A compatible width alone does not establish suitability.
Can I buy finished rolls and parent rolls?
Yes. Choose the purchase type in the inquiry so the roll specification and sample evaluation can be prepared for the correct route.
Which printer models are compatible?
Compatibility must be confirmed for the exact material and printer configuration using grade data and trial prints. Send the printer model and current roll specification for review.
