Thermal paper buying does not move on price alone. Importers, wholesalers, and private label buyers usually ask for a document set before they confirm a trial order or container shipment. They want to see whether the supplier can explain the product clearly and control the risk.
The basic file is the specification sheet: width, diameter, roll length, core size, gsm, pieces per carton, carton size, net weight, and gross weight. Label buyers also ask for adhesive type, facestock, liner, gap, temperature range, and barcode scan performance.
Compliance documents matter more in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe. Buyers may ask for BPA-free, BPS-free, or phenol-free statements, plus COA, MSDS, or third-party test reports. They prefer to check these before customs clearance or before their own customer raises a complaint.
Compliance-heavy inquiries should point to Quality Assurance and Compliance. Packing, pallet, and container questions fit naturally with Supply Chain Excellence.
Common buyer questions:
- Can you send the thermal paper roll specification sheet?
- Do you have a BPA-free or BPS-free declaration?
- Can you provide COA by batch?
- What carton size and pallet loading can you offer?
Buying note: sending the document list early is more useful than repeating that the paper is good quality.
