Features to specify for your application
Long-life paper grade
5+ year grades are available. Specify printed-image retention independently of unused-paper shelf life, and confirm the selected grade for the end use.
Thermal response
Confirm print sensitivity and thermal-side orientation with sample material on the target printer and converting route.
Coating and protection
Request top-coating or a particular handling-resistance property where needed. Each option is confirmed by grade, not by jumbo-roll format.
Converting dimensions
Specify jumbo width, GSM, thickness, core ID, maximum roll OD, roll weight and winding direction.
Roll-build requirements
Agree the permitted joint count, joint marking, edge condition and winding specification before the order.
Line testing and shipment
Request trial material, moisture-protected wrapping, pallet marks and destination-specific packing details.

Image life, shelf life and storage
The roll format does not determine image life. The selected thermal coating and paper grade carry the retention rating. Confirm the unused-jumbo shelf life separately, including storage and transport conditions before slitting. The 5+ year image-life rating applies to the selected long-life grade under its stated storage conditions.

Does jumbo format make thermal paper last longer?
No. Image life is a property of the selected material and coating under its stated conditions. Jumbo format describes the supply and converting dimensions.
What should I send for a converting trial?
Share the slit plan, machine limits, core ID, unwind direction, end printer or application, target grade and trial quantity. Agree acceptance criteria before testing.
