Short meterage is one of the fastest ways to lose a wholesale buyer. The end user may not notice a few missing meters on one roll, but an importer will see the loss across a full container.
Buyers usually check weight per roll, outer diameter, core size, and gsm, then unwind samples to measure the real length. Two 80×80 rolls may look similar from outside, but if one is short, the second order is at risk.
Meterage is tied to paper thickness. At the same outer diameter, thicker paper means fewer meters. Very thin paper may reduce stiffness and receipt feel. A proper quotation should state width, outer diameter, core size, gsm, and length together.
When buyers are checking specifications, send them to Thermal Paper Rolls Manufacturer. If they need to verify meterage, Request Samples is the practical route.
Common buyer questions:
- How many meters are in each 80×80 roll?
- Can you guarantee roll length tolerance?
- What is the weight per roll and per carton?
- Can we unwind samples to check meterage?
Buying note: a quotation that only says 80×80 is not enough. Meterage and roll weight should be visible.
